Lisa's great new solo album 'Never or Now' is due to be out in South Africa and Benelux to buy in February 2007.
UK fans have no need to worry, the album will also be able to be imported to the UK at the same time or if you like, you'll be able to buy and download the digital album.
A UK edit of 'Never or Now' is planned to follow later on in 2007.
Coooooool, what sites can you import it from?

Im sorry but as a UK fan [be it a big one or not] this is kinda a step bacl. Lisa should released in the UK first, after all they have been the ones supporting her, both here and when she did OZ. Yes im happy she has finally got a chance to release, she deserves to do well, but its just a disgrace she expects UK fans to buy two versions of the album without trying to give the UK a chance first.
But good luck to her. I hope it does well, and has some amazing tracks on.

From a fans point of view your right but from a record company point of view putting it out in the uk first would not help them or lisa in the long run. The record company fully support lisa and have long term plans that hopefully will come to life in 2007

But look at it in this sense... even though i know its not yuo personally releasing it for Lisa. If that fails in which ever country she chose's to release it in... the record company will NOT release in the UK. It would make them look stupid and Lisa too. And you can probably guarentee that most sales from the release will be off UK fans importing it. As it could be the only chance we get an album. Unless Lisa really pulls something out the bag with promo and everything. Another point record companies seem to be missing is not everyone can import stuff, they don't have the right cards, use of the net etc... Im not trying to put a damper on this great news, but i think they expect the UK to just stand behind Lisa no matter what. Yes real fans will... but real fans also expect a UK artist... who they have supported for years... to at least give them a chance first.

Okies carl!
Im not sure if I should import it or wait and buy it. What is everyone else going to do?
depends on money at the time and if it flops in those other countries whos to say we will actually get it released over here cos if it did flop over in south africa and im not tryin to think negative just lookin at all situations then her record company make feel that it wont do well over here either therefore may not release it which wud be a huge shame after us waiting this long for an album
So maybe we should all import it if we can that we will then definatly have the album.
cud do its up to the individual person thats just how i was thinking but dont wanna put a dampener on things :D lol cos it is great news and i really hope for lisa that it does get released over here and it does well :D

well i dont know how far down the link the uk edit will be, hopefully not to far behide. downloading should not cost anymore then downloading from a uk site. once i know the costs and that i'll post them. the final artwork should be off the press this week so hopefully i'll be posting that soon.
I've always been a bit dubious about the alb being released anywhere esle first. I mean for some acts it DOES work. Mel C has had massive success in Gemany, France etc - but she released on her own label AND she did real promo over there.
If Lisa AND Concept want this alb to be big enough then they HAVE to do some promotion over there, and not just a few days. Tho seeing Lisa will be busy in Janurary/Feb, shes not exactly going to be able to is she!
Of course fans are gonna import it and then for the UK release they'll prolly add in something like Boy On The Dancefloor to make us buy it again.
Hope the people that be know what they're doing!
Im just glad we have an album - be it in another country!!! I cant wait!

To be honest you've seen how tight Concept are with spending money on any of they're artist's etc.. so i'm not suprised that lisa is to release the album abroad first which will probebly safe guard Concept & make sure they wont miss out on any money.

would not call it tight i would call it taking care to cover there selfs and there acts. no point pumping silly money in to something for it to flop like some labels do. this way is how small labels get to be bigger labels.

All of you UK fans need to stop bitching. Lisa's UK music endeavors have failed and you should be glad we're getting an album out of her and that a label SOMEWHERE in the world is willing to take a chance and release it.
we arent bitching about gettin an album we are just sayin it wud be cool if she had released it here first etc and if it wasnt for us UK and US fans etc she wouldnt be where she is today and we are grateful and really pleased that we are having a album released:D

i have said this ages ago and im going say it again its not as easy as saying well we put it out in feb in the uk, you need shops willing to stock it for starts, press will give her ahard time what might put others places off taking it on.
Its not like where forgetting uk fans where making fully sure uk fans can get hold of it right away its just not the right time to get a hard copy out in uk shops, but there be stuff that will help that case eg tv show and hopefully the album doing good in other places. as for the person asking about singles there is songs planned to be used at later dates. what and when i don't know.

Glad we'll finally have a CD...
Annoyed I'm gonna have to pay to have it imported...
also annoyed Lisas releasing it when shes already planning to be busy for Jan Feb and possibly March in the UK... with Dancing on ice...
whats the point in putting an album out in a different country when you're in the UK working your arse off all week for 2 hours of prime time promotion in the UK on a saturday evening?

I have read all the posts on this thread and not one person has bitched about Lisa. All anyone in this thread are doing is giving there true Oppinions. I think Lisa would appreciate honesty from her fans, we're all supportive in everything she does but we have a right to speak are mind as long as it's fair.
I am very happy to hear the album is being released regardless were it's being released. We uk fans can still get are hands on it anyway. I do hope it gets released in the uk but like others have mentioned it can depend on how well it does in other countrys first.

CDs aren't region coded, so you don't have to worry.
i will be importing regardless i jus want lisa's album weve waited for years for it and they said there was a different version for the uk so when we did buy it again we'd have something different and be worth the money if people wanna wait wait dont moan LOVE IT!!
I just hope it works out for her, but in my opinion it should be released here first off the back of Dancing on Ice. Yes we'll import it just incase it doesn't reach the UK later in 2007, but I know many people will not buy 2 copies unless there's a huge difference in track listing.
But fingers-xed it all goes how she wants it to, cos she deserves it, she's a hard working lady!

i'll be buying both versions regardless but i hope there is a difference in tracklisting
as for new singles i hope they consider a single to release of the back of dancing on ice i think it would be a good idea
Most of her UK fans prob wont import her album so I doubt it will effect sales in the UK if it released!

I'll buy both aswel.
That's what tends to happen with most artists after they've done a reality TV show. But it doesn't always mean that it will be a sucess. We just have to hope and keep our fingers crossed for something ... I'm not sure what that something is but you get what I mean! XD

I'm really looking forward to it! hopefully the release date will be known soon... I'll surely buy the international version, I live in Belgium so it would be handy if the cd will be indeed released in the Benelux as well. probably I'll buy the UK version too...
I think there are plans to release in Benelux :)

it was yeah m8 LOL cant wait for the album xxxxx
Haven't visited in a longtime, gave up any hope of Lisa releasing anymore material long time ago. That's probably the same view of alot of the old fans. The music industry has changed, music sound/styles. Some of the unleashed tracks would sound a little dated in the charts in comparision to current stuff like Stefy, Dragonette, Mutya etc.
I'm really pleased that something is finally getting pressed into a purchasable format. Although it was posted that this would be available in Feb 07... it's not April 07... surely people can see why the fans have lost patience in waiting. I got all excited at the start of this post and it diminished when I realised it still wasn't released.
Surely the album or a single, something should of been released straight off the back of Dancing On Ice? Or make the album available digitally on iTUNES? This costs record labels next to nothing and there's no pressing cd's/printing artwork overheads to cover?
Anyways initally elated to be brought down and deflated.
