MTV are breaking the bounds of music and forming a new supergroup. It's our brand new show Totally Boyband starting soon.
We're taking five washed up ex-boybanders and giving them a new lease on their pop fame lives. But for now, who they are is a big secret...
Totally Boyband will follow the dream team as they prepare for the public and media frenzy surrounding the promotion and release of their first single later this year. From recruitment to initial song writing sessions to recording and performance rehearsals you can be there. Naturally we’ll have them all under the expert guidance of a top music mogul to see if they can reclaim the charts and your hearts.
These lads are all former members of some of the hottest boy bands of their day/15 minutes, and we’ll have exclusive extras on MTV Overdrive and MTV Snax mobile TV in the UK.
According to our programming and development bigwigs this will let you "experience all of the drama, tension and humour of this unique, new series" giving you "an inside look into the making of this new super group," nice!
The members of Totally Boyband will be revealed at a London press conference on Wednesday 19th July. Stay tuned for more.

Thats just it, this IS original I think. At first I did think " Oh dear" but now ive had time to think about it, its pure GENIUS lol!!!!!! They are gonna have the fans of 5 different bands/acts coming together as one. Lol its brilliant! Tho it would have worked better with girls I think.

I dunno, fans of the blokes in bands tend to be girls and they're all typically obsessive... lol...

We have just returned from the Totally Boyband press conference. As hoped, there were pastries and orange juice - and chandeliers.
But no booze.
The members of the boyband are:
1. Dame Dane Bowers!
2. Lee Latchford Evans!!
3. Danny New Kid!!!
4. Jimmy Constable!!!!
5. Bradley S Club!!!!!
We asked a question at the press conference. We wanted to know whether they thought they were going to come out of the series looking like anything other than complete laughing stocks. Dane Bowers told us to kiss his arse. And we all know where that leads - with Dane sticking his toe up your mimsy. :(
The men in the band are very serious about what they are doing. "I want people to see what I'm about," Bradley said. "I want people to see what I'm capable of as a producer." Dane Bowers is "just looking forward to getting back to music". "Nobody tells us what to say, what to do, or what to wear," Lee added, as if that was in any way a good thing.
The TV series will be very funny. It starts in September, there's a single out at the end of October, and the band are being managed by Jonathan Shalit (although obviously bear in mind that he won't be telling them what to say, wear or do).

one thing i was curious about though with lee doing it what about the latch? especially with it saying there that this boyband will have a single out?

i think it would have been better if it was girls as well you never know if this series proves successful there could be a totally girlband show on it's way
LOL. I dont doubt there will be!
and the Latch are still he Latch. I think this is just a way to promote them from Lee's point of view. As im sure all members of this boyband have something else theyre promoting.

Lee Latchford Evans has - perhaps foolishly - agreed to take part in a new series, 'Totally Boyband', the new show which brings together five former pop stars, and fashions them together into a new boyband!
Joining Lee in the band is Danny Wood from 'New Kids On The Block', Dane Bowers from 'Another Level', Jimmy Constable from '911' and Bradley McIntosh from 'S Club'.

The 8 part series will show the new boyband preparing to release a single in October.
Lee has stated that his band, 'The Latch', have not split, and that the new 'Totally Boyband' will only be releasing one single. For the time being.

Ok, so it'll be a laugh...but I just feel this is a step (sorry) back for Lee. The rest I can totally understand doing it. But Lee has worked so hard to shake the naff tag and now its gonna be firmly stuck back on his arse!

And WOOOO!!!!!!! Jimmy from 911! I LOVE(D) 911!! Wish it was Lee though! Mind u, everyone was obsessed with Lee.. he's like the only one who sang and was nice looking..
Ooh I hope it is on T4!! I havent got MTV and had to trail to my cousin's to watch TSL!

I hope they air the show on Australian Mtv as well. Each of the boys in that band would have fans here to. Can't wait to hear what they all sound like together...... It would be rather interesting.

yer bradley sez in the interview that hes been writing. he was writing for other artists looong before they split! basically he liked my cousin but he wasnt her type so she sed she wants to be friends. i sed id have him lol. her sister, my other cousin was all "carla! hes famous!" lol. no pleasing sum ppl. my cousin- www.carlabrown.co.uk shes a glamour model. theres nicer pics of her on other sites tho. playboy for 1 xx
