At the end of episode 13, the christmas special, she was still in & I both the Julie's agreed that thay would not mentioned what really happened to Fenner again, so i'm guessing that Di got sent down & transfered as was mentioned in her trial, she was only staying in Larkhall till it's decided weather she's guilty or not. this is series 7 episode 12

Unable to come up with £50,000 to pay for bail, Di is placed on remand. She is told that because of her knowledge of the security procedures at Larkhall, she will be sent to another prison. In desperation, Di contacts Neil and pleads with him to pull some strings—she’s convinced that she can ferret out Fenner’s killer. Hollamby is unsure of how to react when Di arrives in reception, she wants to do everything she can to help her friend, but is not totally convinced of her innocence. Refusing to entertain the idea of being placed on the VPU, Di insists on being allocated a cell on G-Wing where several of the inmates are beside themselves at the thought of lording it over an ex-screw. Still, Di is sure that she’ll be able to handle herself—the fact that she’s accused of killing Fenner should guarantee her a somewhat easier ride than most POs behind bars could expect.

Spiers is on escort duty for Natalie’s long-awaited visit with her brother Clive and her terminally ill nephew in a nearby hotel. Spiers immediately sees straight through the happy families act that Natalie and Clive put on and realises that the whole thing is just a ploy to get her out of Larkhall. Still, he’s amenable to the idea of them having sex and, as soon as Clive is gone, he bends her over the bed. Afterwards, Natalie goes to the bathroom and retrieves the can of mace that Clive has presumably hidden for her. She aims a jet of it into Spiers face and then cuffs him to a piece of furniture. Canny Spiers has hidden a key in his sock and manages to free himself and then set off in pursuit. But when he reaches the hotel foyer, he finds that the game is already up for Natalie. Pat has arranged for a group of protesters to picket the hotel and they impede her escape. Back at Larkhall, Natalie is philosophical and smugly points out to Pat that there’s a good chance she’ll be released at her upcoming appeal anyway.

Julie S is beginning to realise that all is not well with Julie J. She seems strangely disassociated from G-Wing and keeps forgetting that she’s in prison. Meanwhile, Di is on a mission to clear her name and is thrilled when Julie J confesses to Fenner’s murder. However, Di’s bid for freedom takes a terrible turn when Julie starts to lose it whilst giving her statement. After lock-up, Julie completely flips and physically attacks Joy when she tries to calm her down. Julie S is distraught when her best friend is dragged off down the block. Although Neil is convinced that Julie J is experiencing a severe mental breakdown, Joy refuses to even consider the idea, adamant that a night on the block and a cold shower first thing in the morning will sort her out.

Joy has introduced yet another new scheme to G-Wing—the cellmate system. Now, inmates with long sentences will now share cells with inmates nearing their release date. By implementing this system, Joy hopes that the good behaviour of their new cellmate will rub off on some of the more troublesome elements on the wing. Pat is appalled when she discovers that the new system means she’ll be sharing a cell with Sheena on the last night before her release. Pat is determined not to give into her feelings, but the two women are unable to help themselves and passion quickly takes over.

Spiers is forced to answer some awkward questions about the incident at the hotel, but convinces Joy that he managed the situation adequately. He’s concerned that Natalie is having trouble facing up to her crime and suggests that she be allowed to meet with one of the protesters. After conspiring with Pat, Spiers arranges for Natalie to speak with Iga Lukasiak, a woman who left her native Poland and ended up spending 6 years working as a prostitute and living as a virtual prisoner in London. When Spiers leaves the two women alone, Iga presses Natalie for answers and makes her lose her temper. Natalie doesn’t care about what Iga, or any of the girls she forced into the sex trade went through. What bugs her is the fact that she provided them with food, work, and a roof over their heads and didn’t even get thanked for it. Iga calls Natalie evil and then leaves the room. Natalie is impressed with her performance, but then she’s totally unaware of the fact that Iga has taped their entire conversation.

With Tina and her tea-trolley acting as a go-between, Iga manages to pass the tape onto Pat. Natalie still cockily believes that her conviction will be quashed at appeal, but her attitude drains away when Pat plays the tape for the benefit of the whole of G-Wing. Natalie runs back to her cell with the other women’s chant of “nonce” ringing in her ears. Spiers follows Natalie up to her cell. She tries to threaten him but he turns the tables—now that all of the other inmates are against her, she’d better work extra hard at keeping him sweet.

Although the sight of Julie J hallucinating that she is talking to her children isn’t enough to convince Joy that the inmate is experiencing a full-on mental breakdown, she is unable to refuse a request from Di’s solicitor that she should be examined by a psychologist in order to assess her ability to stand trial. After examining Julie J, the psychologist informs Di’s solicitor that any confessions she has made should be dismissed as unsafe—in her professional opinion, Julie J is mentally unfit to make a statement. Di is distraught when she learns that Julie J will be transferred to a secure hospital for treatment, as is Julie S when she hears the news and she begs to be allowed to say goodbye. She is heartbroken when Julie J flips out again and punches her in the face.

Although she’s missing Pat, Sheena is overjoyed to be reunited with her baby son, Dylan, and grateful to Colette for putting her up. Sheena is forced to get in touch with Dylan’s father, Brendan, to retrieve some of her belongings. He takes the news that she is seeing someone else calmly, but then he does have other things on his mind, namely, the bagful of smack he’s hoping Sheena will stash for him. Sheena flatly refuses—she wants nothing to do with drugs—but Brendan decides to hide his gear in a cupboard in the hallway without her knowledge. Colette notices what Brendan is up to and has no choice but to call the police. After finding Brendan’s drugs, the police arrest Sheena and take her back to Larkhall.

As Di looks forward to the prospect of being convicted of a murder that she didn’t commit, Julie S is weeping as she looked over at Julie J’s empty bunk. Shipped out and isolated, all poor Julie J can see is the haunting face of Jim Fenner preying on her mind.

It’s Christmas Eve on G-Wing and as a chilling wind whips around Larkhall and the worried POs gather around to watch the weather forecast, a disturbing new inmate, Miranda Miles, steps off the van. As the snow begins to fall, Hollamby is looking forward to the end of her shift, the last thing she needs is a van full of inmates to deal with, especially when one of them turns out to be a completely cured Julie J. Then there’s the fact that Miranda has arrived without paperwork. But with the bad weather closing in and the phone lines down, it looks like she’s at Larkhall to stay. Without a warrant or anything to say who Miranda is, Neil wants her to be kept on the reception wing. Joy overrules him and insists that Miranda be given a cell on G-Wing.

Joy loves Christmas and is determined to get everyone, staff and inmates alike, involved in the festivities whether they like it or not. Prison Chaplain, Christy MacKay, is delighted to assist in Joy’s quest to bring a bit of seasonal cheer to Larkhall and looks on proudly as she dons her fancy dress outfit. Meanwhile, Neil is already in a bad mood because it looks like the weather is going to prevent him from joining Bobby Hollamby in the sun, and it is with great reluctance that he changes into his own Sherlock Holmes outfit. Hollamby is also in a ‘bag humbug’ type of mood, but given that her outfit is a completely unflattering Dickensian combo, it’s hardly surprising.

On the wing, Sheena is struggling to talk a cynical Pat into attending the carol service while Janine, Tina, Arun, and Darlene assemble for a last minute rehearsal of the G-Wing pantomime, ‘Snow Black’. Desperately missing her best friend, Julie S puts a brave face on and is temporarily cheered by the arrival of a vast Christmas tree. Phyl and Bev are also full of good spirits—brandy, gin, and vodka that it—smuggled into them inside a Christmas hamper from their good friend Oliver.

Julie S is thrilled when she discovers that Julie J has been allowed to return to Larkhall. At a loose end, Natalie decides to bolster her self-esteem with a spot of bullying and demands to know if Miranda has brought her a ‘present’. Seemingly totally unfazed by Natalie, Miranda calmly introduces herself as ‘Satan’s daughter’ and then uncrutches a full set of Russian Matryoskha dolls. Any further bullying is put on hold by the arrival of Spiers. In the mood for some Christmas kinkiness, he takes Natalie to the chapel, blindfolds her and then forces her to kneel down on the altar. In search of the carol sheets, Christy walks in on Spiers and Natalie. She sees straight through his panicked attempt at a logical explanation and tells him that she’ll be informing Joy of what she has witness as soon as she is able.

It’s time for the carol service, but just as all of the inmates and POs begin to sing, a vicious gust of icy wind blows an exterior door open and sends pots, pans, and the knife cupboard crashing around the servery. Then, the lights go out and the whole wing goes into immediate panic—all except Miranda that it—she rather likes the dark. With the electricity off and the back-up generator broken, Joy is at a complete loss for what to do—she’s got no chance of getting hold of an electrician before New Year. Luckily, Neil has a plan and before long, Phyl and Hollamby are inching their way into the dark cellars on a quest to repair the generator. But when squeamish Hollamby discovers a rat crawling up her bloomers, she faints and falls against the generator room door, trapping Phyl inside.

Feeling the cold, Julie J returns to her cell for a cardigan and finds Fenner sitting on her bunk, expelling lungfuls of icy breath. When he stands and begins to walk towards her, Julie J begins to scream. G-Wing’s inmates and POs sprint up to G2. Despite Julie S’s attempts to shut her friend up, everyone hears her claiming to have seen Fenner. Nonchalantly, Miranda walks into the cell and confirms Julie J’s story—she saw Fenner too! Despite Neil and Joy’s attempts to convince the inmates that there is no such thing as ghosts, the dark and spooky atmosphere on the wing combined with Julie J’s claims that Fenner is still alive soon works the inmates up into a state of hysteria. Even Christy is sure that she can sense something “evil and unnatural” on the wing and tries to persuade Joy to allow her to perform an exorcism. But it seems that something more serious may be on the verge of happening—more than one knife has disappeared from the broken knife cupboard.

Thanks to Phyl, the generator is working and the lights are back on, but even so, Joy is finding it hard to quell the sense of panic on the wing. In desperation, and despite Neil’s incredulous objections, she allows Christy to go ahead with the exorcism. As Christy performs the ritual and sprinkles holy water around the wing, Miranda steps forward. Recognising her as the evil presence, Christy douses Miranda in holy water. Miranda responds by cursing and bleeding from the mouth. Grabbing the cup of holy water, Miranda drinks from it and then spits a mixture of blood and water in the Chaplain’s face. Still refusing to allow Joy to intervene, Christy grabs a crucifix and manages to calm Miranda down, seemingly banishing the evil spirit in the process.

Spiers can see his career spiralling down the toilet before him and so he has no choice but to give Natalie the go-ahead to put Christy out of action. Natalie goes to speak to Miranda. With the screws busy watching the inmates involved in a mass snowball fight outside, there’s no one to witness her giving Miranda a knife stolen from the cupboard. As Natalie joins the other inmates outside, Miranda enters the staff showers and stabs Christy to death with the wooden crucifix that the Chaplain left in her cell.

As a terrified Hollamby discovers Christie’s body, Julie J sees Fenner appear in her cell. She reaches for a knife stolen from the servery and tries to defend herself, but after a struggle, stabs herself in the stomach. As the doctor works on Julie J, Miranda is discovered covered in Christy’s blood and surrounded by wood shavings and the knife she used to sharpen the crucifix. Later, when Neil and Joy access Miranda’s paperwork, they discover that she was in the process of being transferred to a secure mental hospital after killing a PO and was left at Larkhall by mistake. It is clear that Joy blames herself for Christy’s death.

Julie J is very lucky. Despite the depth of the wound in her stomach, the injury isn’t life threatening. Initially relieved when she hears that Julie J is going to be okay, Julie S is furious when she finds out that she hasn’t been taking the pills that had been prescribed to combat her bipolar disorder because they were making her put on weight. Julie S makes her promise that she’ll resume taking her medication, even if her bottom does swell up to the “size of Clapham”.

It’s Christmas Day and Sheena wakes Pat with a present—a letter from the Registry Office. Sheena has asked someone to visit the prison so that they can initiate proceedings to officially register their relationship. Pat is over the moon, especially when Sheena asks her if she’s prepared to become Dylan’s legal guardian and his second mum.

The traumatic events of Christmas Eve are put aside as the staff and inmates gather on the wing to enjoy the World Premiere of ‘Snow Black’. Now that Julie J is back on her medication, has Fenner’s evil spirit been banished from G-Wing for good?
