New daughter for Angelina and Brad


Angelina Jolie has given birth to Brad Pitt's daughter, it has been announced.

The couple have named the child, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, Pitt's publicist said.

The baby's arrival was the subject of intense press speculation that led the superstar couple to move to a hideaway in Namibia for privacy.

In a statement, publicist Cindy Guagenti said: "The night of May 27, 2006 in Namibia, Africa, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed their daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. No further information is being given."

No photographs were being released, she added.

Later, a doctor at the hospital confirmed Jolie and her baby daughter were doing well, adding that there were no complications during the closely guarded delivery.

The actors were rumoured to have got together while filming Mr And Mrs Smith, in which they played husband-and-wife assassins hired to kill each other. Pitt, who was married to Friends actress Jennifer Aniston at the time, denied any romance.

But Pitt and Aniston announced their split in January 2005, and divorced later that year.

Jolie, 30, is a frequent visitor to Africa and serves as goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

The daughter of actor Jon Voight has two adopted children - toddler Zahara, from Ethiopia, and four-year-old Maddox, from Cambodia. Both had their surnames legally changed to Jolie-Pitt after Pitt announced his intentions to co-adopt the children.

well how long have they been together? to be honest i wasnt too phased by the jen - brad thing 2/3rds of every marriage breaks down just cas their famous it doesnt mean then have more of chance to survive....ther prob both more happy now than they were together as thats y they broke up....doesnt anyone want them to b happy? brad met anegelina and they love each other.....however i have been abit worried about bringing a baby into the relationship so earli on!

how can she be a waxwork already wen shes only like a day old! wax works take months to make, and they need mouldings of the celebrity. and why do celebs name their babies stupid names? eg- talullah, bluebell, phoenix chi, brooklyn, romeo, cruz (means angry in spanish), prince, maaad.

First off baby shiloh is not one day old she was born 29 May and it is now ending July ... so know your facts before saying the wrong things.

Secondly it is the parents choice what thay name there children, not yours, it would be boring if everyone had the same names! It's just because there celebs your mentioning it, I personally like most of the names some celebs have named there children. I know ppl who are not famouse and thay have called there children unusual names, it's in the 'Chat' magazine every week about ppl naming there children unusual names so it aint just celebs.

rach, why is it that every thread i reply in ur being like this to me? ok i apologise i didnt no angelina had her baby in may, i know its the parents choice on the childs name i was just saying ive noticed a lot of celebrities have named their children names ive not heard before, im sure im not the only person in the world with this opinion. can u not be like this to me please. i dont mind u correcting me but do it nicely, i wasnt being unkind in any of my posts, just putting my view across

Uh i love the name Tallulah and Jessie named her baby that, and i adore Jessie! And anyways... as rach has already said, its upto the parents what they name their kids. I would rather name my child something unsual than having a common name. I mean im called rachel.... i know at least another two or three. and one of them is a bezz mate on this board [brightangel]. I think its annoyin how there are so many people with the same name because parent don't think of original names!

My kids are gonna have cute names [Clara-Leigh], A spoilt brat name [Francesca-Reily] & Unusal [Ty].

Anyways i think the babys cute, im nto keen on the fact they have already done a wax work on it. I mean its a tad bit early. They;'ll change it as she's older. But the name is cute. x

um well I was'nt planning on having any kids just yet but I#ll deffo keep that name in mind just in case i do end up with brats!:p :lol2:
