Yea its great for us if she goes on, but theres only so much failure one person can take, and being brutaly honest, theres not been much success since STEPS has there...
I think its time Lisa took a long time out and thought about what she wants to actually do with her life. Beyond her music, cause she's going to end up in a not so nice place if she carries on the way shes going...

she needs support and not to be put down all the time
Sean is just being realistic, and he IS right.
She does need to sit back and look at her career. Instead of running blindly into things (which she did with TSL, the whole 'Im giving up' thing which she claims she only said for 'dramatic' effect and then with the disaster thats was Australia) she should THINK about stuff shes asked to do and say.
If she wants to be successful in other countries she has to be prepared to spend time out there.
It just feels now like shes waiting for the 'R' word to happen so she can feel loved again.
If she didn't moan about the UK not liking her, I'd have some sympathy. But she just dismisses her FANS here and to be honest, if this album comes out in Australia first, you all should feel cheated. You support her to the hilt and thats the thanks you get? Import an album that then may or may not come out here as a 'special edition' (ie the extra track is a b-side thats already come out) - its crap. She should reward the fans here by promoting her arse off (and not saying the 'S' and 'R' words), releasing it here first PROPERLY and chancing it in the chart!
it's up to her if she wants to carry on or not but if she does decide to carry on don't no about you lot but i'm supporting her and i'm right behind her.

She does need to sit back and think seriously what she wants to do next. And slating the UK isn't a good thing when the UK fans are the first to be behind her and what she does. We should get the album first and i agree with everythin Mel has said. x

Noone says you shouldnt support her, but you need to be able to see that not everything she does is right for her. And that all those pressure shes putting on herself to BE a success could be bad for her in many ways.
All im hopnig is that she releases the album here before anywhere else!!

She's totally shooting herslef in the foot by releasing internationally and not promoting, its just more stats for sites like popjustice to add to the list of things to have a go at Lisa for...

why should I support her half arsed attempts at releasing internationally and when shes basically saying her UK fans weren't good enough cause she didn't go top ten?
I think she should go away and SERIOUSLY think about her direction, cause its clear she's taking random stabs in the dark in the vain hope of a hit... GET IT ON anybody?

why can't she Jenni?? Some of the good comebacks take a few years. Lisa has only ever had a year off when steps split. She released her debut in 2003. She's attempted more or less every year since then to achive higher. But she's hitting a dead end when she don't' promote and that. She cant' expect to go top ten or anything if people don't see her etc...
I'd like to see her do well... but she needs to do it herself in order to achive that goal... she cant' expect her fans to do everything x

Couldn't agree with this statement more! I mean have you seen what they're saying about her on Popjustice? It's like everyone forgets how much they loved her during the Stepsera, and when she first went solo everyone loved her stuff and now they couldn't say more awful stuff about Lis.
But I mean, what do you expect - Lisa and her management really need to get their butts into gear if they're serious about releasing internationally. There was NO promotion for "Electric" in Aus and sitting in the UK and praying that the fact your video has been shown on TV twice isn't going to get you a top 20/30 smash.
If I'm right I believe it was mentioned on her Aussie MySpace that "If the singles a hit, I'll be coming to Australia for a few weeks" well to me, isn't that like blackmail? Buy my single or you'll never get to meet me, even though you've spent big wads of cash importing my singles from the UK over the years?
But what kind of promotion is that? Lisa should have been there for the 2 or 3 weeks before the release of the single, doing radio interviews, in-stores, live PA's in various clubs, TV chatshows/kids tv shows, Live shows (if any) - there was so much that could have been done to get the song out there to people rather than depending on what was honestly a very cheap music video to sell a pretty great song.
I think Lisa needs to take time out and think about her future plausibly. I'm not saying Quit at all, cos dear god I'd be bummed, cos I've supported Lisa all these years and I love her solo material, I really do, I just don't however love the way it's been handled and promoted.
I hope someone agrees with what I just wrote, it feles like I've been writing that for ages :baaa: xx

You clearly arnt understanding.
Imagining going to work, and being told you're desperate and that you're no good, and that you'll never make it, and your work is crap, that you'll never be as good as you were in your last job...
This is what Lisa faces. and I'm affraid now, shes probably reached a point where no high profile writers / producers will touch her now cause of the stigma shes gained since doing TSL
No one's saying they dont want her to release ever again, but if she announced tomorrow she was releasing a single in June, I'd be VERY worried.
She needs to go away, try convince a decent songwriter and producer to help her come up with that killer comeback track.
None of her tracks (released and unreleased) have been THAT killer... we're talking a track that would make an impact like 'SOME GIRLS' did for rachel stevens here...

Maybe the manager IS responsible for that, but the artist is also responsible for turning up. By all accounts Lisa didn't want to go to Australia (instead saying IF Electric was a hit THEN she'd go - maybe she knew then is wasn't go do it :/), so what Nathan supposed to do there, not that it matters now. However on that point - until she does find a manager, she IS responsible for organising her own promo!
I'm looking at this from purely a fans POV and from what I've seen, she should choose one or the other for now.
If she wants a family, she should take a massive break from the industry, to give herself a break from the pressure of it all more than anything else.
she needs time out 2 de stress and prepare for staring a family and after that she could try 2 jump start her career again

The rejection, and to put it honestly, hatred for Lisa must really hurt her. I love Lisa, but watching the negativity towards her isn't nice and it musn't be nice for her either. I'll continue to support her in whatever she chooses to do, but maybe it's time she went away for a while and did other things, rather than putting all of her energy into music.

Going back to promoting singles. i bought too far gone cos i was in the shops and saw it. i had no idea she even had a song. it was the same with fayes- someone like you. i was in the shops n thought "WAT!?" i remember lately wa son tv all the time so thats why she got number 6, all the others havent made top 10 cos theres been no promotion!
