Hi Guys!!!
Hope you’re all well and enjoying Totally Scott-Lee! Apparently you are coz I’ve just got the official viewing figures from MTV and they’ve informed me that we got 5x the average ratings for an MTV show!!

watched us - so THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your support!!
Keep watching and hopefully I’ll get a top 10 with ‘ELECTRIC’. I’ve just recorded it so as soon as it’s finished, we’ll post it on my website and you can tell me what you all think!

WOW 0.6 million is amazing!!! I'm so proud of Lisa! & no wonder TSL got 5x the average MTV Show... it is THE best MTV Show!!

And now Sean has told me thats 600,000!!! I just cant believe it!!! Im actually speachless, Lisa UR A STAR!
Great figures, but remember, its the next few weeks that count more - if they can keep the figures in between 0.3 and 0.6 million, then they'll be doing really well.
Tho it'd be interesing to see how many of that 0.6 million wants to slap Michelle lol!

10% of the average viewing audience buying it would be a good result, considering that there will be a fair few fans of Michelle and Lib X watching as well!

This is an amazing achievement.
As stated on another thread you only need about 50,000 to make a number one single! Will young got 2M votes from Pop Idol, and over 1M of them bought the single, that's about half. So if we assume that anyone who doesn't like Lisa will not watch the show and half the viewers who are watching buy the single, it will not only be a number 1 but it will be a massive number 1.
Not to mention that MTV will promote the single to death, if they can get more people to watch TSL they get more money from advertising, so prepare for it to be played a lot!
I have jus checked on BARB the ratings measuring website and checked out MTV's ratings, the site is always 2 weeks behind so I can't find out about last nite but MTV's Pimp My ride (which takes up 8/10 of the top ten slots) on 21/8/05 had MTV's highest rating of the week with only 158,000. So Lisa's show has kicked ass this week! Yay!!!
with nearly 5 x as many viewers!!

lol i agree with that, but regardless of if its put on the site or not, it will be ripped from somewhere, whether it be radio, a rip off the video, it WILL appear on illegal download sites, its inevitable!

Providing a clip for the site won't hinder sales. Plus, as Craig said, it will leak anyway.

I saw that too but apparently Lis got her figures from MTV, who are obviously very pleased with the ratings. I would be inclined to believe MTV over Digital Spy, as MTV are much more likely to have access to company's who actually measure ratings. Digital Spy's figures were probably an estimate!

an estimate has to be based on someting though and 516,000 seems a huge estimate mistake.
I am not being a party pooper I just don't see how such a big mistake can be made, and also I would hate for people to get all excited and realise that the figure was actually 0.06 million!!!!

I am amazed that they got all the other ratings right in the article but lsl one is wrong.....
It dont really matter if it was 90,000 or 600,000 because end of the day its still high for a 30 min show on mtv.

This weeks number one sold just over 26,000 copies and the number three was something like 15,000. Tho when James Blunt was number one it was higher - it depends on the quality of the releases that week!

that's what i was saying before, you don't need to sell many to be number 1 now and even if 10% of the viewers buy the single.....she's a winner!!!

so i can even go as far as saying that even 5% of viewers bought the single, she's still number 1!!! (cos that's still 30,000 copies!)
That is assuming A)the viewing figures are correct, Im still not totally sure, an estimate and the one mtv are supposed to have quoted to Lisa are miles apart and b) the shows figures stay high all thro the series - they need to stay constant, tho mtv will have the video on every hour at the least, they'll be really pushing it!

They will definitely play it constantly.
2 reasons
1 they have always supported Lisa and given her airplay.
2 TV is all about advertising revenue, the more they play Lisa's single the better known she is. Therefore her show will get higher ratings, if the show gets higher ratings MTV can charge more for advertising space! Therefore MTV make more money!

Its such a shame lisa only stayed in the top40 for one week.. its really unusual for this to happen. People are saying that she may have bought her no13 position but i dont know.

Totally SL is a good programme, although it does not show Lisa in a good light. She seems to pick on Michelle all the time
